Mc ClayDougal

This day can be taken at any time of the year but is best during the warmer seasons.

The idea of the McClayDougal Challenge is similar to the established game season McDougal but no pheasant is taken. Instead of game shooting, participants take part in a clay shoot whereby every now and then a coloured clay will appear and this take the place of the cock bird and the one that needs to be hit to start the challenge.

After lunch you tie a pheasant tailed nymph fly (with instruction!) from a supplied tail feather and then attempt to catch a trout on your fly in the afternoon. Definitely no fly tying skills required! The day is for a party of 6 to 8 people. The purpose is to have a relaxed and amusing day out in the country, and those who achieve a McClayDougal will each receive a prize.

Everything is included from guns, cartridges and all fly tying material and fishing equipment in addition to morning coffee, pre lunch drinks, lunch with wines (which will be either a quality cold lunch or BBQ dependant upon weather), and afternoon tea.
